Naked Thoughts on realizing you are an entrepeneur.

Entrepreneur. The word can mean living a glamorous life like those million-follower influencers, or it can mean finding a way to earn a living through constant hustle. The path of entrepreneurship reveals itself only as you move forward, for better or worse. Some become entrepreneurs moved by conviction, with an early purpose in life; others as a lifesaver, by accident, coincidence, and who knows what else. I am still learning to accept I am an entrepreneur by obligation. I wanted to keep my static job so badly.

I must confess, I’ve walked this path with authentic fear. Even in moments where I have literally stood still, I paused and kept moving. I never imagined I’d be building a startup. And while “startup” sounds exciting, it’s a term filled with optimism. You start at zero, with a blank canvas and a list of what you have at your disposal—be it talents, abilities, or a product you believe in. Without business experience, you might even have done market research before diving in, and still, the scenario is changing by the second. From that blank slate, the next step is to move up, one client at a time.

It’s been a messy, sometimes lonely, surprising, and beautiful journey. Tribelanders was born from a blank canvas, its concept painfully sculpted through mistakes, gains, instinct, and faith. I’ve felt stuck, sometimes like a rocket wanting to burst before its time, and sometimes stepping into the ring knowing I’ll win the fight. The journey from start to up is still unknown, and you might stay on the sidelines or fall. Starting provides a perspective earned entirely by your own efforts, and that perspective will teach you the language of entrepreneurship. The word meant nothing to me until I walked this path. Now, I can’t get enough of learning from others on their way up or standing on the sidelines.

Tribelanders is not 100% done. It keeps evolving. Each client from the start has been significant, and you never forget those first clients who gave you a shot. As we continue on this path, you might find rocks that hurt your feet, find a lovely rainbow while it’s raining, others might hit a landslide. But when you’re down, the only way is up. Start up all over again. There are countless possibilities of surprising discoveries. So, don’t just climb. You might need to stay still for a moment or go back. But after that, move! Only by moving do you have the potential to turn your start into an up.
